ANDY WARHOL

Andy Warhol was an American artist in the 1960s.
He was known as one of the most influential icons in the world of contemporary art and culture. During
the early years of his career, Warhol worked as a commercial artist for a variety of clients, including Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Tiffany & Co., and others.

Throughout the 1960s-1970s, Warhol produced
some of his best-known works within the pop art movement, where he used everyday objects as subjects in his paintings. Perhaps one of his most well-known subjects was that of the Campbell's soup cans. This body of work, along with other paintings that include the likes of Marilyn Monroes, Dollar Signs and Coca-Cola Bottles, became some of the core pieces in contemporary art.

Using the same focal points as its namesake, the Warhol x Galison stationery collection was created in order to complete the circle by bringing his artwork into everyday, practical objects. For example: the Andy Warhol Brillo memo block, Marilyn Monroe sticky notes, and Warhol’s philosophy pencil set. Both modern and functional, these specialized items are great for stationery lovers, as well as fans of pop art.
